As part of the partnership between the DMMMSU-SLUC and the Department of Education-La Union, teachers from the Sto. Tomas and Pugo Districts were trained by a team of research and statistics experts from the College of Graduate Studies, College of Education, and College ofArts and Sciences.
The trainings were conducted in Sto. Tomas Central Elementary School and Pugo Central School last October20, 2014.
All the teachers in the said districts were attendees as part of their semestral LAC sessions and professional development.
Recently, DepEd has launched a program requiring DepEd teachers to conduct action research as a measure of their annual performance evaluation.
DMMMSU trained the teachers on how to conduct action research and how to manipulate statistical inputs using statistical software for easier processing of data.
Trainers include Dr. Emmanuel J. Songcuan, Dr. Diego Waguey, Dr. Jayson Obillo, Mr. Alfred Fuentes, Mr. Ronald Aquino, and Mr. Ryan Cerveza.
The training is part of the extension project of DMMMSU-SLUC.
